What do you think about it?
According to your opinion, are there any other reasons to support this questions apart the following ones?
•industrialised countries should give the example by reducing their consumes and emissions;
•developing countries should try alternative development ways;
•the technological progress will allow the same unlimited mount of energy for everyone;
•the lack of sources will cause necessarily tensions and conflicts;
•other?
If you want to give your contribution and if you think this is the most relevant question to the discussion, support it!
Having already industrialised wealthy countries MUST, and have an and ethical and moral responsibility to, lead the way by reducing emmissions and energy consumptions.
Emerging economies like Brazil, India, China and South Africa have a validt point when stating that that industrialised countries have benefitted from past environmental "sins" and industrialising countries should not be punished for this.
On the other hand emerging economies have the opportunity to "lead frog" - i.e. be early adopters of more environmentally friendly technologies. Wind- and solarenergy have great potential in this regard, especially in remote and rural areas who may become selfsufficient in sustainable energy development and consupmtion.
